Terms & Conditions — Namazu Lodge (Shika Hotel Group)

1. Acceptance of Terms

By making a booking through our website, Lodgify, Airbnb, or Booking.com, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. These terms form a legally binding contract between you and Shika Hotel Group operating as Namazu Lodge.


2. Bookings

Bookings can be made via our official website (integrated with Lodgify), Airbnb, or Booking.com.

A booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received and you receive a confirmation email.

Guests must be 18 years or older to make a booking.


3. Payments

Payments on our website are processed securely via Stripe.

Bookings made through third-party sites (Airbnb/Booking.com) follow their respective payment policies.

All prices are listed in Japanese Yen (JPY) and include local taxes unless stated otherwise.


4. Cancellations & Refunds

Due to our remote alpine location and limited operating season, all bookings are non-refundable once confirmed.
We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unexpected cancellations or delays.


5. Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in: From 3:00 PM

Check-out: By 10:00 AM
Late check-outs are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.


6. Guest Responsibilities

Guests are expected to:

Treat the lodge, staff, and other guests with respect.

Refrain from smoking indoors or engaging in illegal activity.

Take care of property and equipment; any damage or loss may incur repair or replacement fees.

Follow fire safety instructions and emergency guidelines provided at check-in.


7. Liability

Shika Hotel Group shall not be liable for loss or damage to personal belongings, vehicles, or valuables during your stay.

Guests are responsible for their own safety during outdoor or winter activities.

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your stay.


8. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for cancellations, delays, or interruptions caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, severe weather, power outages, transport disruptions, or government restrictions.


9. Third-Party Bookings

If you book through Airbnb or Booking.com, their terms and cancellation policies apply in addition to these Terms & Conditions.


10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Japan, and any disputes shall be resolved in the Nagano District Court.
