NAMAZU LODGE

About

Welcome to Namazu Lodge, your home base in the heart of the Japanese Alps.

Nestled in Shinano, Nagano Prefecture, our boutique lodge offers comfort, culture, and convenience for travelers seeking adventure in every season.

The lodge takes its name from Namazu, the legendary giant catfish of Japanese folklore believed to cause earthquakes when it thrashes its tail. Inspired by this powerful symbol, Namazu Lodge embodies both the energy of the mountains and the tranquility of the surrounding lakes.

Namazu Lodge features nine spacious, air-conditioned rooms, each with private bathrooms and flat-screen TVs. Whether traveling solo, with family, or as part of a group, our lodge offers the perfect balance of comfort and privacy.

At Namazu Lodge, we blend modern hospitality with the warmth of traditional Japanese lodging. Whether you’re chasing untouched powder on the slopes, hiking through mountain trails, or simply seeking a quiet retreat by the lake, you’ll find a welcoming atmosphere here.
